It's A Boy...Well 5 years ago!

This is for all the mom's out there! It's survey, but it's a little different...it's all about your first born! Have fun!
This is now...isn't he one handsome kid!! :)
This was back on the day he was born! He was born with a head of hair!

1. WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED? Yes we were planning on getting pregnant, but didn't know it would happen the very next month after going off birth control. :) But I was soooo happy and excited! I was ready to have kids the day we got married, but Kurt wanted to wait a year.

2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME? Yes

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS? Soooo excited but nervous, and super sick

4. WAS ABORTION AN OPTION FOR YOU? HELL NO!

5. HOW OLD WERE YOU? 25

6. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT? I was starting to throw up after I would eat and I then I realized I had missed my "monthly friend"which never happened. I took a home pregnancy test, but it came back negative. I was still throwing up a lot, so I went and had a blood test...it was postive!

7. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST? Kurt of course, and then my mom

8. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX? Yes! I don't know how the people that don't find out do that! It's hard enough for me to wait as long as you have to let alone another 4-5 months!

9. DUE DATE? 2-18-04

10. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? Yipper skipper, for about the first half and at least once a day

11. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE? Red meat! I craved steak, so Kurt was a happy camper!

12. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST? Nobody/nothing impaticular just dumb people

13. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX? Boy

14. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING? Yes and No, but just because it freaked me out to have a boy! I came from all girls, so a boy was different!

15. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY? 40 lbs.

16. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER? Yes, I think I had like 3-4! One with my family, one with the in law family and friends, one with friends, and then the there were 3 of us all due within 1 month, so the girls at work had a combined shower with all of us! I should have just combined them all, but there would have been so many people! Both sides of our families are pretty big!

17. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW? I knew about them

18. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY? Nope, everything went great!

19. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH? Orem Community Hospital

20. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR? About 7 hours. It would have been a little less, but because Orem Community doesn't have a respiratory doctor, we had to wait until they got there from Utah Valley just in case there were any complications.

21. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL? I actually drove myself. I was getting ready in the morning and kept having these wierd pains. They started getting closer together, and by the time I had gotten to work (we lived in Orem and I worked in AF), they were about 5 minutes apart. I called the nurse and she said I needed to come and get checked out to see if they were real or braxton hicks. So I drove back down to Orem and they were real. Kurt was helping a friend so he got there not long after I did...7 hours later we had our little boy!

22. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH? It was only supposed to be Kurt, but the nurse needed a little help so my mom (not necessarily wanting to) stayed in there, and of course Doctor Gordon.

23. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION? Natural

24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? Thank heaven for epidurals!!

25. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH? 7 lbs. 14 oz.

26. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN ? 2-13-04 He was about 5 days early. I'm glad he didn't came a day later! I just didn't want his birthday to be Valentine's Day.

27. WHAT DID YOU NAME HIM/HER? Braydon James

28. HOW OLD IS YOUR FIRST BORN TODAY? He is 4, but he will be 5 next Friday!

He is such a sweetheart! He is so smart, loving, happy, imaginative, and so friendly! I love him to pieces! It scares me a little to let him grow up, but I guess thats the way life works right!

I'm glad I found this on my friends blog because it was a lot of fun to reminisce!
