Made me chuckle!

I know, I know I need to get caught up on my posting. I do have a bunch of Christmas pictures so hopefully I can get those posted in the next day or two.

Anyway Braydon and I ran to Wal-Mart to grab a couple things. We are standing in line and in the line next to us there is a little boy and little girl whining to their parents about wanting a treat. Of course the parents say no, and the kids lose it whining and throwing a fit...the whole nine yards. Braydon looks at them both with a look of disgust and then looks at me and says, "I am NEVER having kids!" I just started laughing! If he only knew...but I still love him!

I was tagged by both Debbie and Jent, and thank heavens because I haven't had anything new in like FOREVER!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper
2. Real tree or fake tree? I would love to have a real one for the smell, but we have a fake one. (it is pre-lit though, so that makes it nice! :))
3. When do you put up your tree? Usually the day after Thanksgiving, but this year we got a little excited and it got put up 2 weeks before Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take it down? Usually around New Year's day or so.
5. Do you like eggnog? I always forget to buy it but yes, I like it.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? This one is hard, I have a lot of favorites, but I will say when Nickole and I got scooters! We thought we were so awesome!
7. Easiest person to buy for? Probably Jentrie because we like similar things or my kids because every comeercial that comes on they want it...so it makes it easy to shop!
8. Do you have a nativity scene? Yipper skipper
9. Mail or Email Christmas cards? Seriously...who emails a Christmas card?
10. Worst gift you have ever received? I can't think of one right now.
11. Favorite Christmas movie? I love Christmas Vacation and actually I like Elf too.
12. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I usually start thinking about Christmas around September/October but I am still usually shopping until Christmas Eve for those last few things. 13. Have you ever recycled a Christmas gift? I don't think so.
14. Favorite treat to eat at Christmas? My Grandma's fudge, Reese's peanut butter trees, I also like strawberry candy canes
15. Lights on tree? Another...Seriously?
16. Can you name Santa's reindeer? Of course
17. Favorite Christmas song? O Holy Night
18. Travel or stay home? Stay home because both our families live here.
19. Angel or star tree topper? Usually I have an angel but this year I don't have anything
20. Open presents Christmas eve or Christmas day? We get matching jammies from my mom on Christmas Eve, but everyhting else is Christmas Day.
21. Favorite Christmas tradition? We go to my Grandma's house for Christmas dinner/treats and then we open our gifts form each other with the whole family
22. Favorite ornament, theme or color? I have too many.
23. Favorite Christmas dinner? Turkey, rolls, mashed potatoes, and my grandma's raspberry jello salad!
24. What do you want for Christmas? For Santa to bring Kurt a job!
25. Best Christmas present you have ever given? Probably when I gave Kurt his GPS...he was actually surprised!

Twilight Premiere Party!

Last night we went to a little Twilight party up at The District! Earlier this year Jessa came across these tickets that included some fun stuff to do including the movie. We all got "glittered", they had a costume look-a-like contest, they had a bunch of vendors that were selling some cute stuff, there was a bunch of games, and we got a little goody bag that had a few little fun things in it as well. We all had a great time and for the most part we liked the movie! I actually really liked Edward. I went assuming I wasn't going to and then did. I thought that all characters did a pretty good job. The only one that bugged me was Carlisle, not the actor just the way he looked! (hated his hair and his make-up was too cakey looking). Yes there were some cheesy parts, but there had to be a little humor or it would have really been cheesy, right? Can't wait for "New Moon!"

They also had a couple contests and I actually won! This was the cute sign that i won!

Happy 2nd Birthday Logan!

This year because of everything with Kurt's job situation we decided to just have my family over for a little party for Logan's birthday. We will actually celebrate it with the rest of the family over Thanksgiving because everyone will already be together. Anyway, he had a blast. Here are some pictures of some of the gifts he got...
Grandpa and Grandma got him a talking Mickey. For any of you who know Logan knows he LOVES Mickey! Trying to give him kisses before he is even out of the box!

Nickole, Matt and Sawyer gave him a little construction playset that he thought was fun too! This is him trying to figure out how to get it out of the box!

Grandpa and Grandma also got him this battery powered 4-wheeler! He loved it, and so did everyone else! This is Sawyer taking it for a spin.

This year I just decided to make cupcakes instead of a big cake...much easier!

......mmmmm good! We didn't get a picture of it, but Jentrie also gave him a shirt and some new levis that were really cute! He also got a puzzle, some Elmo DVD's, some cars and trucks, a really cute talking Mickey book, and a couple other outfits. Overall he had a GREAT 2nd birthday! WE LOVE YOU LOGAN!

The "7 Random Things" Tag

Well, i was tagged by Cass to write 7 random things about myself so here it goes!

1- Unless I have somewhere to go...I stay in my PJ's all day long. Why waste the time of getting ready if I am just going to be all sweaty from cleaning the house and playing with the kids.

2- I too, the same as Cassidy like to talk late at night. It's something about getting into bed that sparks my brain to want to talk about everything and anything. Kurt usually is listening for a minute, but then I start to hear snoring and I know that he didn't really care to listen.

3- My biggest fear is being attacked. I have night terrors on a regular basis of someone coming into our bedroom standing over me. I know get some help, right!

4- I am super anal about how the dishwasher gets loaded. Sometimes Kurt will load it to be nice and help out and without him knowing, I usually rearrange everything.

5- I have a reality TV problem. I love them, but not your typical ones that everyone loves...I like "The Hills", "Celebrity Rehab", "Road Rules/Real World", "Sunset Tan". Pretty sad, huh!

6- I am really insecure about just about everything! I can't even decorate my house without having 5 different people tell me that it looks okay! Even getting dressed...no matter how many times Kurt tells me how nice I look, I usually change at least 2 times before leaving the house!

7- I am the biggest over-analyzer ever! Maybe it's the insecurity, but I am always over thinking EVERYTHING! If someone doesn't call or text back..."are they mad at me", "is something wrong", "do they really just not like me". Braydon not listening..."am I a horrible parent", "does he just not care", "doesn't he love me enough to listen". I know I've said it before and I will say it again...get some help!

Braydon's Art

Braydon started pre-school this year, which was really hard for me. I am one of the most "over"protective moms in the world and thats why he didn't go last year! Anyway, he has loved it. I have always felt like he was a pretty social and smart kid. He has always been able to make friends wherever we go. If we go anywhere for more than 10 minutes and there are kids around, he will have a new little buddy! Anyways these are a couple things that he has done lately that have made me so proud of him!

He has never been big on coloring...he likes it but only for a few minutes. When we were watching conference this last month a friend emailed this cute packet that had a bunch of fun stuff for kids to keep them entertained. Braydon asked, "What am I supposed to do on this page?" I told him to draw a picture of our family. He said, "Okay here it goes." This is what he came up with! I know its not perfect, but I didn't know he even knew how to draw stick people! He is such a good kid...and I love him to death!

Happy Halloween 2008!

We were so excited all day to go trick-or-treating! Braydon got home from his school party and was ready to go...isn't it great how kids just don't grasp the time thing! Then it decided to get cloudy and then start raining, it was only sprinkling when we started so we figured we would be fine! After going to a couple houses, Kurt ran back home and got the umbrella! Logan was not very cooperative when it came to pictures...so this was the best I got of the two of them together! They really did look super cute! Thanks mom for the amazing costumes!

Everytime Kurt goes riding...Braydon always wants to go. It breaks Kurt's heart to tell him no, so this time he took him and Damien took Kira! They had a blast...like always!
It's always a "gun show" when you get around these boys! They've even invited Kira to be in the show too!

This was a huge spider they saw while they were out there! Kurt said it was every bit as big as a taratula....eeewwww!!

Trafalga for a little Mini-Golf

The other day we decided that we needed to get out of the house and go take the kids to do something fun. Every time we are on the freeway Braydon always wants to go to "the castle place" (which is Trafalga)! Lets just say that Trafalga has gone a little bit down hill since the last time I had been there, but we had fun anyway. Braydon was actually pretty good. Logan had fun too but he mostly just loved chasing the ball!

DISNEYLAND!

My family decided to take my and the kids to Disneyland for my birthday this year! For any of you who know my family we LOVE Disneyland! Of course we had a blast! Last year we went trick-or-treating, so we decided to take our costumes again this year! The kids had a long day and then were super tired that night so we didn't really get too many pictures of them in their costumes. Braydon was "Hercules", Logan was "Hades", and Sawyer was "King Triton". When we got home we weighed our candy and it was just under 16lbs. That was just my little family of fours candy! The weather was perfect too...about 75-80 degrees the whole time we were there so that made it nice too! Kurt ended up being able to come last minute so that made it fun too! Jentrie couldn't make it because of school so we did miss her. Thanks again mom and dad...you are the greatest!!! Love you both!

"So You Think You Can Dance"

I have been so excited to go to this since we got the tickets back in June or July! This was one of my favorite shows to watch this last season! I usually will watch bits and pieces of it every season, but I loved pretty much everyone of these dancers, so I couldn't stop watching! (I know I'm a little bit cheesy) Here are some pictures, but they are kindof blurry!
